"Pocket Money" Workshop for Chennai Corporation School Teachers by NISM @ MSE . . .


National Institute of Securities Market - NISM"s "Pocket Money" Program was launched in Tamil, for the high school students of Chennai Corporation Schools, last week @ Madras Stock Exchange Ltd ( MSE ). A full day workshop for the School Teachers was organised by MSE jointly with NISM and attended by teachers from 50 Corporation schools.

"Pocket Money" Kit contains 8 Chapters on various aspects, do"s & don"ts of money, savings, budgeting, networth, investments, borrowing, banking, credit cards, mutual funds, gold, ETF, postal savings, simple/compound interest, EMI, etc. Explained in simple terms with lots of colourful illustrations, it is targeted at 8th / 9th standard students.

Already launched in English in more than 10 schools in Chennai - covering more than 1,000 students, Pocket Money is an important skill/tool for any school student. With the launch in Tamil this year, it will strive to achieve its target of creating a new generation of Financially Responsible Investors/Citizens.

    This is a great initiative by your team. I came across this while watching 25th Nov episode of 'Neeya naana' about pocket money. So, where can I get the english as well as the tamil editions of the book?
